About Our Work

We preserve photographic history through meticulous digitisation and archival expertise.

Professional scanning equipment and vintage photographs

Our Story

We began this work after discovering a collection of deteriorating family photographs in an estate clearance. Those images, some dating to the 1920s, were fading rapidly. That discovery became the foundation of what we do today.

Since establishing our studio in 2018, we have digitised over 240,000 individual photographs and film frames. Each project receives the same careful attention, whether it involves a single treasured portrait or an entire archive spanning decades.

Our equipment includes Hasselblad film scanners calibrated for archival work, alongside professional flatbed scanners capable of capturing prints at resolutions exceeding 4800 DPI. We handle materials from the 1860s through the digital transition era.

Why We Work Differently

Individual Handling

We do not batch-process materials. Each photograph receives individual scanner calibration based on its specific characteristics, emulsion type, and condition.

Archival Standards

Our digitisation follows guidelines established by the National Archives, producing files suitable for long-term preservation and professional reproduction.

Material Safety

Fragile items are handled using cotton gloves in a controlled environment. We document the condition of materials before and after processing.

Our Commitment

Every photograph that enters our studio represents someone's memory, documentation of a moment that cannot be recreated. We treat that responsibility with the seriousness it deserves. Your materials are insured during transit and throughout the digitisation process.
